Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine’s Day

I thought about covering up and editing my stretch marks (I never have before but I now have an editing program), I thought about not using this photo, but my body tells the story of motherhood’s hips, and I myself am getting sick of seeing perfect bodies. He loves me, and he loves this position so much that when taking a photo of the wax heart he dripped on me, he told me to assume this position. I chose it because despite the imperfections,  my large hips taper to a small waist that in itself reminds me a heart.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Don’t forget to love and celebrate yourself!

  1. I love the way the heart shape of your bottom mirrors the heart shape on your back. As for the stretch marks, they show life, truth, honesty and all those things are beautiful too.

  2. you are beautiful exactly how you are…no need to edit what you think are imperfections are what makes you unique. Your bottom is absolutely amazing. the wax heart is cool also but the first thing I noticed was your lovely bottom and the stretch marks are your road map of life…your gorgeous!!

  3. Every body tells a story. They’re living, breathing maps of our lives. You look gorgeous in this photograph and I am so pleased you chose not to edit it. The image is real – and all the more beautiful because of it. Jane xxx

  4. This is so awesome. I love the black and white edit, the wax heart, and most of all the hips and waist making a heart as well. Very nice!

  5. You are beautiful, and those are badges of honour. I love this shot.

  6. This is such a beautiful image, and it would have lost something if you’d edited it for your stretch marks. I’m very glad you left them in.

  7. Beautiful contrast between the red and grey. Lovely image and lovely words. Yay for not editing . . . I never do and as everyone has already said, your body is part of who you are. Wear it with pride!!!

  11. The picture is absolutely gorgeous and there’s not a reason in the world to edit a thing.

  12. Beautiful as always, love the red accent amidst the B & W photo. The two hearts (one being your lovely backside, the other being the waxed one) remind me of the infinity symbol, which adds yet another brilliant element to this piece.

    Bravo!

  13. none of us have perfect bodies…even the people who appear on and in magazines….your beauty lies deeper than any stretch marks (and worry not…I think about that when I share pix too!)

You, my dear, are gorgeous. This is just a beautiful photo!! Happy Valentines day for you, too.

  14. You are absolutely stunning! I love the two hearts and the color splash. I also love your Valentine wish. We should all remember to celebrate ourselves.

  15. Such a lovely arse.

  16. We were planning a similar image but time escaped us. I’m glad we didn’t because this is a stunning image, the heart and the shape of your bottom are perfectly mirrored. As for stretch marks, we all have our ‘flaws’ but they’re part of us and we shouldn’t be ashamed or even afraid of who we are.

  17. Gorgeous! And what stretch marks? I never noticed them 🙂

  18. Your curves make such a lovely heart shape indeed! Happy Valentine’s Day!

  20. Love the use of color!

  21. Imperfections? Not seeing any. Beautiful shot.
